The Doctors Akilan Arumugham, M.D. A Dallas native, Dr. Arumugham graduated with a bachelor of arts majoring in Natural Sciences with minors in Mathematics and South Asia Regional Studies at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His medical education was completed at. The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He served as an intern in Internal Medicine at Baylor University in Houston Texas. His residency in Diagnostic Radiology was completed at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. He finished his training with a fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at The Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He joined RCND after serving as an Associate Professor of Radiology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology and holds a Certificate of Added Qualification in Vascular and Interventional Radiology. He is a member of The American College of Radiology, The Radiological Society of North America, and the Society of Interventional Radiology.
