She graduated with Honors from Austin College, and earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. She completed her Radiology Internship and Residency at Baylor University, Dallas, and dual Fellowships in Abdominal Imaging at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, and in Musculoskeletal Imaging at University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, Dallas. She is member in multiple medical societies including The RSNA, ARRS, and the Texas Medical Association.
Dr. Ramakrishna has received academic awards including The Rupert B. Lowe Scholarship for Academic Merit, the Dr. Paul E. Geers Award for Excellence in Pre-Medical Acheivement, Beta Beta Beta National Honors Society of Biological Sciences, Dean’s Honors, and The National Honor Society. She is a competitive equestrian and show jumper. She is certified by The American Board of Radiology.
