Michael A. Matyas, M.D. Dr. Matyas graduated with Highest Honors, Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Texas at Austin in 1984, and attended Baylor College of Medicine (Houston) where he received his M.D. in 1989. He completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at The University of New Mexico School of Medicine (Albuquerque) and a Fellowship in Nuclear Medicine at Emory University Hospital System (1994). Dr. Matyas has been in private practice in Alexandria, Virginia, serving as Radiation Safety Officer and Chair of Radiation Safety and Isotope Committee. He has accumulated extensive experience in all facets of Nuclear Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology and PET imaging. He came to Dallas in 1998 working locally in a large private practice group before joining RCND. He has served as Medical Director of a large full-service outpatient imaging center. He is licensed to practice medicine in the District of Columbia, Texas, Georgia, Maryland, and Virginia. Dr. Matyas is board certified by The American Board of Radiology: Diagnostic Radiology with Special Competency in Nuclear Medicine (1994), and The American Board of Nuclear Medicine (1994).
