The Doctors

Prabhakar P. Kesava, M.D.
Neuroradiology

Dr. Kesava graduated from Louisiana State University-Shreveport receiving a Bachelor of Science and doctor of medicine degree in 1989. He completed a surgical internship with additional orthopedic training in 1990, and a Diagnostic Radiology residency at The University of Texas-Houston Medical School in 1994.

He served a 2-year fellowship in Neuroradiology at The University of Wisconsin, and specialized in Interventional Neuroradiology for an additional year. Dr. Kesava has held numerous academic appointments at the Universities of Miami, University of Texas San Antonio and Houston, and has multiple hospital affiliations in the Seattle area.

Honors have included Summa Cum Laude (LSU), induction into the medical honors society AOA, and Nycomed Diagnostic Imaging Fellow, University of Wisconsin. He was awarded a distinguished teacher-of-the-year award by the radiology residents at The University of Texas San Antonio (2000). He served on the admissions committee for The University of Texas San Antonio, and has been a manuscript reviewer for the American Journal of Neuroradiology.

Dr. Kesava has multiple scientific manuscripts published in peer-reviewed journals, including book reviews, invited lectures and abstracts. He is board-certified by the American Board of Radiology, with a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Neuroradiology. He is a senior member of the American Society of Neuroradiology, and belongs to multiple medical societies including, Radiological Society of North America, American Roentgen Ray Society, The Stroke Council of the American Heart Association, and The American Society of Interventional and Therapeutic Radiology.
