 Perfusion MRI is a special technique for evaluation of microscopic blood flow in cerebral capillaries and venules. (A) Calculated MRI perfusion map of a high grade brain tumor demonstrates areas of increased capillary blood volume in tumor (red) corresponding to tumor neovascularity. (B) Perfusion map superimposed on FLAIR image demonstrates area of tumor with highest malignancy potential to aid biopsy planning.
